January 24, 2018: Butternut squash and cucumber sandwiches

A couple of firsts here -- first time I've worked with a butternut squash and the first time I've worked with an avocado (seriously!).

I just looked up where the butternut squash recipe came from and now I'm a little bit sorry I used it (nah, I'm not going to get up on the pulpit and say why!) but I guess I need to share the link:    https://www.pauladeen.com/recipe/creamy-squash-soup/   -- it was probably the easiest soup I have ever made.

The cucumber sandwiches were also delicious -- especially on a 60% whole wheat bread I made:

I couldn't find any alfalfa spourts (at Sprouts!) and bought broccoli sprouts -- worked well for me and I didn't even know that broccoli sprouts were a thing...
