Weekend treats, Brioche & Harvest Bread


First time I made a Brioche -- used a recipe from Paul Hollywood's "Bread" book. This one calling for Satsuma & Chocolate.  I didn't get the rise I expected (realized during the process that I had made a mistake and maybe that was the cause -- or maybe the bread pan was too big, resulting in the dough spreading out rather than up)


Later that day -- my daughter made Potato Leek Soup (delicious!!), topped with various roasted seeds while I made a "Harvest Bread" from Forkish's book -- it contains whole wheat flour, wheat bran and wheat germ with a coating of wheat bran on top.
